Coffee Shop Maternity Session | Wilmington NC

When I spoke with Mandy about a maternity session, I knew I wanted to do something a little out of the norm. She has a fun sense of style and I thought doing the shoot in a local coffee shop would be a cool twist to photographing an expecting mama. We met at a super cool little place called Bespoke. Located in downtown Wilmington, NC, it offers a cool vibe with it’s colorful thermos wall and multiple shelves of succulents. The coffee is amazing! Mandy had decaf of course, but I went for ALL the caffeine and was not disappointed! Mandy is a twin mama (like myself) and is expecting a new tiny human real soon. Shooting almost an entire session inside a space brought new challenges for me. I usually shoot maternity at outdoor locations where we can move around and change the “look” a bit, but was surprised at how many different settings we were able to capture in one place. All in all, it was a great day of photography, coffee, and hanging out with a super cool gal. Thanks, Mandy!
